Whats up with this door?

Maybe it's an aftermarket door (thinner metal). I've seen aftermarket doors flex at the exterior handle similarly (except horizontal, not vertical).
 
an l shape brace holds that mirror solid many idiots techs leave out. I might have one have to search. been years ans years since i have seen it.
 
And IIRC that bracket is riveted on, so if it’s missing then more than likely that door was replaced at some point in time.





I think you need new weatherstripping too! :rotfl:
 
That’s what I was thinking, I saw the drivers door brace when I changed out the motor for the window. I’ll get to it next week, right now I’m sitting on the side of the road waiting for a roll back, looks like the fuel pump finally died on this thing. Good thing I filled it yesterday.

When else would it die, when it was empty? :screwy:
 
yes that bracket needs to come out to get the window regulator out. Maybe not all the way out, I always took it out, make life easier. I did tons of window motors on these things at the agency, under warranty, most of them.
