whats your opinion..40's or 42's???

here is my junk on 42s.

front.
6" skyjacker soft rides. 3" longer shackle for 7.5" total

rear
shackle flip, 56" dually springs with no overload and the 2 bottom leaves out. springs in backwards, 3.5" block.

rides and drives well. still has 3/4 of the inner fenders in it, might be better with 1 more leaf in the rear pack.

i plan on lowering it an inch and putting 42s or 43s on it with more:hack:

last pic is with 38.5s. looks too tall

muddybuddy... i bought your old 8in BDS's...haha.... i ran them with zero rates and a body lift on 40's on my old truck, and i wish i would have gone a tad bigger on the rubber.

thanks for the pics guys, keep em comin.

haha yea i remember that. go with the 42's. have you priced those suckers new?:eek1: $600 with rims is a great price if they even have 1/2 tread. my 42" iroks were ~$340 a tire a couple years ago.

running 15's with a d60 isnt too bad if you run the right backspacing. that pic i posted with 42's is 15x10's with 3" BS and i barely had to grind anything, took maybe 10-15min per caliper. its when you run 4.5" BS that its a PITA. personally i like a little bit wider stance for more stability, and since you dont got ball joints it isnt much of an issue

Good luck finding tires right now because of the whole pitbull/interco/denman nightmare! I'm trying my hardest and i cannot find a set of 42" tsls or pitbull rockers!!

Edit: I missed that the original poster had a line on a set, but for anybody else....good luck!

I love your truck man. I gotta ask, it doesn't look like you trimmed much of the fenders, how much flexing does this thing see? I want that stance for my truck and it looks like you left a lot of fender in there. Thanks.

thanks, sorry i hadnt seen this thread since i posted. it doesnt see that much flexing anymore, the truck doesnt get wheeled too much these days unfortunately:( but that picture is kind of misleading. the axle is about 3-3.5" forward so when it flexes, it still rubs a little bit but not too bad. i just need to touch up the back part, as you an see from the pic i attached

as for cutting them, i basically took 1.5-2" out of the entire fender (as much as i could all the way around while still keeping the inner fenders)

I AM KEEPING MY JIMMY FOR NOW...haha.....
