A few weeks ago I stopped in at a rock mart and talked the scale guy into weighing my 75 blazer, when I looked up at was right at 4340 lbs,

this seems real light, but then again I dont have much of a blazer left and everything is gutted beyond most levels of sanity.

I keep hereing references to peoples rigs topping in over 6000 lbs, so how much does yours weight?

now I am just a small block, t-350 and single case with 3/4 tons and a hacked up and tubed blazer,

I will be going back to a dana 60, and upgrading to some form of a doubler, so just wondering where I will be at then weight wise,

-thanks

Full body'd diesel K5 on 1/2 tons. Fully loaded in trail trim with tools, spares, cooler and whatnot i put it at 6200 with me in it. I have weighed it without tools, spares, an empty tank, cooler and other trail junk, though, and am estimating from that measurement.

No guessing here.....I had my Blazer weighed on 4-Corner Scales at a local race shop:

L.F. = 1113
R.F. = 1285
L.R. = 1297
R.R. = 1121

Total weight = 4819 Lbs
Weight Distribution F/R: 2398 / 2418
Distribution Percentages: 49.79% / 50.21%

Configuration:
1972 Blazer with Factory Hardtop
35" Tires on Aluminum Wheels
D44 Front / 12-Bolt Rear axles
No Carpet - Though the roughly 100Lbs of stereo gear compensates
1/2 Tank of Fuel in an ~18 Gallon Tank.

Measurements listed above are without me in the truck...Add another 180 Lbs to the overall weight for that!!!

5250 Lbs.: D60/14 bolt, 8274 (cable), heavy bumpers, 350, 700, Atlas, 42's on hummers.

Last time I went to the dump I had mine weighed on their scales. it was 5200 with me in it. I weigh 210 so its right around 5K with 1/2 tank gas and no back seat. 89 K5, stock drive train

About 4 years ago I weighed my 82 on a very old scale. It said the rig weighed 4900.. THats an 82 with 35x15.50x15 TSL on steels... It had a 350, th350, 208 and 1/2tons with all my trail and traveling gear..

My 81 Jimmy fully dressed with cage and bumpers, hardtop, 40's on steel rims, 60/14, 3/4 tank of fuel, and me in it weighed 5940 lbs.

I can get the trail weight down to 5500 if I pack light though.

8242 lbs with me and the wife and a full tank of tank :crazy:

lol, I hope you have a burb or a big wife :D

If I remember right when I first got my truck it weighed a little over 5,000 pounds. That was and '89 with 32's and the hard top on.

I have no clue how much it weighs now since there are 40's, steelies, and 1 ton gear underneath it. Good thread though, helps me get in the ballpark.

5200 lbs - full body K10 w/ heavy bumpers and everything in the sig. No spare tires or tools or anyting in the truck when weighed.

My '73 K5, before I tore it down, weighed 5400lbs, ~20gals gas.

SM465/NP205 33" tires at the time.

Mine comes in at a little over 7300.

1/8th inch diamond plate floors
3" tube rocker guards
Iron 350 engine
Roll cage
38" fat tires
stereo
tools
chains
tiedowns
air tank
winches
skid plates
10" lift
boxed frame sections
tube grille guard with 1/4" plate supports
etc., etc.

It's a tank.
