Wheel dolley

Harbor Freight 1500lb dollies BELOW HORRIBLE:

Please see my other thread:

Now, IF your car is 2000#'s or under, the floor surface is smooth and flat, you are on a tight budget and are only going to use it infrequently, then you can get by.

Other than that forget it. i think a 69 c-10 even without engine and trans is still going to weigh about 3000lbs.

See, we're kind of trapped; We need dollies, the cheap ones don't really work and the high-end ones DO work and work great but are too much $$$$.

So i think whoever can come up with something equivalent to the GoJaks (like equivalent wheels/bearings) yet at 1/2 price will WIN ALL THE MARBLES.

P.S. to OP:

IF YOU can get someone to help you , then the 1500 lbs dollies could work for what you need.

But really there is a "dolly disparagement" in society.

After reorganizing the garage I think Or hope I will have enough space to back the truck in and remove the bed and still get the bed out to the side of the house.

We’ll see

I'm actually surprised to hear so much bad about the HF dolleys, :dunno:.
Like I mentioned, my son and me pushed his complete first gen K5 around my shop, with a rough floor on the 1000# HF ones.

We had no real issues, and nothing bent.

Guess mine were made on a Wednesday or something. I use them for smaller stuff a lot, like moving my spare tons around.
Only moved the k5 half a dozen times maybe. So not much heavy use.
Always worked good for me so far though.

Have the gray HF dollies never tried anything Heavier than my Bother's 55 Chevy pick up, mostly complete at the time. Got a ford 9" sitting on 2 of them atm. Work great on the High Jumper Desert Buggy. Have the go jacks at work they are great with smooth surface I can push a midsize sedan 150 yards across the parking lot alone. We use with disabled electric vehicles a lot, we are not allowed to push an EV on it's own tires, might make electricity and hurt someone :dunno::surepal:. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/GoJa...MIiJu39tqP7gIVqxatBh23eQSDEAQYASABEgLaYPD_BwE

i think this is a key; You had two people. This makes it much easier.

Ok, i think my rating of "Below Horrible" may be too harsh. i think "They don't work too well" may be more accurate.

Hell even on the best casters, 4500+# is hard to push for one person. Lol
