Wheel pickle

Got new drums and they fit the wheel properly and this bolt pattern on the flange. Unfortunately, it almost the same width as the shoes.

Isn’t there a star wheel on here to compress the shoes? Memory is foggy and Ive been running around all day.

Edit: found it hopefully this will work.

Had to back the star wheel as much as I could to get the shoes “in” but they’re on...

Now I’ll take them off and paint them white..


I assume that blue protection stuff wipes off.

yup soapy warm water and a scrub brush that blue will come off.

Sounds like you fixed the problem. I have 15x14 rallye wheels on my tubbed out 56 chevy pu. I have discs now but had to grind the drum fins down b4 to make them fit. The repro rallys are smaller on the inside,and even when I converted to disc,i had to change the offset some on my new wheels
