So I just bought a 1989 Suburban and the bolt pattern is 5x5 or 5x127, I was looking around for some wheel to put on it because the ones it has do not match. I notice that newer Jeep wrangler wheels have the same bolt pattern the only difference is the off set. So my question is has anyone ever tried this or is using jeep wheels now?:dunno:

A) This goes in the regular garage for future reference. This section is to document long term projects.

2) If the pattern is correct, and the offset/backspacing will work than there is no reason you cant use jeep, daewoo, peugeot, or any other car brands wheels. Idk what vintage of jeep wheel you are considering but they've been 17in wheels for a while if you're looking at newer ones so dont forget about tire compatibility. Also a lot of the newer wheels have a heavy back spacing to tuck the wheels under the body better with newer vehicles so as Im sure you know you'll need to verify they will work.

Center bore is a common problem with newer wheels on older axles due to the 4wd lockouts but being your rig is 5lug clearly you are 2wd so no concerns there.

That is what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure, I think i was more worried about the offset. and I am thinking about ether the Sahara or Rubicon with street tires. The truck will stay stock or be lowered 2/4 or 4/6.
