The pipe is a remnant of turn-of-the-century mining. We have some nice areas to explore, both by truck and by foot.

481 on the ramp. I hope to get over 650 with the shackle flips and 7" total lift this year. This RTI ramp was at the Alaska State 4x4 Meet and Greet at the AK State Fairgrounds. It's an event hosted by our club.

The next two are from one of the many trail runs during the Meet and Greet.

More pics fellas!!!! That place looks so freaking awesome!!

I'll be back up there soon.

Alaska is very awesome. Both of our trips up there have been fantastic.
We drove my Yukon up from Michigan the last couple times, but we'll likely fly up in '08.

Most of our wheeling was looking for fish, and I've only got one picture here at work with me:

(Looking for Pink Salmon down by Valdez)

We also had a lot of fun looking for (and fishing) Jim Creek, fooling around up at Hatcher Pass, driving the Dalton Highway in a rainstorm, and getting out to the the mouth of the Anchor river for Silvers. None of it is 'real' wheeling, but fun none the less.

I don't have many digital images, but I'll look for more when I get home.

Looks like a fun place to live if you like to wheel. Is your wheelin' season limited because of snow?

I kinda dig the Scottsdale trim in those 89-91 trucks.

We wheel all year. It's just urban wheeling in the winter:D j/k. There are places that are prefered in the winter when the ground is frozen. If you plan it just right, you can get waaaaaay into the back-country after the ground freezes and before the snow flies. I'll post some more pics!

17-20 miles from hard-pack. Awesome scenery. There is a running waterfall right next to a froxen one. Way cool.

One of many private hunting cabins in AK. It is like a museum in there with evidence of visitors for 40+ years. If you use something all you have to do is replace it. Cabins such as this have saved many lives when the going gets tough.

This is my all-time favorite wheeling action pic. My family thinks I ought to send it to a magazine. What do you think? (I think I may already have posted it here but what the hay, it's good enough to be seen twice).

More water. This is actually the same stream as the one above. The difference is that this is in Oct and the other is in May.
