Wheelin pics and video! **1-1-2011 Trip added**

This was pretty funny! The wrangler trying to pull the Yota up the hill couldn't get any traction so everybody grabbed the strap and pulled :haha:

A lot of awesome photos, I bet that was a blast. BTW, who forgot to send the guy in the carhart bibs the memo on what to wear that day?

Woah, some sweet pic in this thread - looks like you guys had a blast! Wish I had the guts (and trucks) to be able to do that, but don't even have health insurance at the moment and paranoid about a freak rollover accident or something :( Read an article on http://www.medicalinsurace.org about car accident victims w/o insurance... terrified me! :doah:

Thats some nice wheelin, i had the same luck down in oregon, so damn cold it was like ice skating rather then mudding lol. btw whats with the goofy insurance add?

So did luke sell the sami to a buddy? That must be wierd to watch someone wheel there own rig. I'm sure the total wrong way too:)

Yeah he sold it to the President of our off Road club. He plans on linking it F/R and stretching the wheelbase plus a sidekick motor swap.

Luke is building an S-10 Blazer on 3/4 ton gear.

GEEZUS i live in the wrong part of the country... and need to get my truck in wheeling shape. these pics are some of the best motivation a guy could have.

as to the jeep wheelin buddies, i think it just stands to reason, our trucks and the jeeps are some of the best trail rigs out there. stands to reason they would be out on the trails together. when my truck starts hittin the trails again, ill most likely be going with my buddy and a co-worker that both drive jeeps. his is a regular 2 door wrangler, hers is a 4 door unlimited.

I like the 'depth' of the trail through the trees. Certainly doesn't appear to be a tread lightly area.

As far as wheeling an SUV style rig goes, you will typically see K5s and XJs together, and you will see Broncos and XJs together, but rarely will you see K5s and Broncos together. The Ford and Chevy guys mix like oil and water.

well thats cuz the jeeps always need a recovery vehicle of some sort. they're kinda like little brothers, they wanna show what they can do, but usually wind up getting in over their heads ;)

It is an ORV area managed by DNR. The trail right there is made that way on purpose. Every spring volunteers repair that area because Yes it gets torn up this time of year. They are really big sticklers with keeping on the marked and approved trails, but they know stuff gets torn up. There is a work party at least once a weekend at the park to keep the trails in good shape.

My two main wheelin buddies are the red Yota and the green Grand Cherokee.
