I told the wife I broke my front driveshaft and showed her the pics. She says how did you get home? Dont you need that to hold the tire on the truck. God I love that woman. Doesnt give a **** aboot the fender but asked how much is a new driveshaft gonna cost me. Readymix and I were "discussing" I have full coverage on my K5 I wonder if I could claim my driveshaft and fender.

I was bored one day at home and told my mom that I needed a front driveshaft to go do what I really wanted to do. she looked at me kinda funny and said how are you going to get to work in the morning. I told her I was gonna drive my truck and she told me that I cant drive it without the driveshaft. I tried to explain that it was the front shaft and I didnt need it to drive to work. she didnt believe me until I did it.

yeah Im glad to see Im not the only one doing this. got the exact same setup. slashed a bfg and put on a hummer tire. I plan on getting a full set of hummer tires soon though. that bfg slashed too easy.

Considering some of the 'access' discussions in California (as far as I know, one idea is to require ALL off-highway vehicles to be street legal...), you might want to rethink this before the rig is too far gone...

Then the vehicle would not be an "Off Highway" vehicle. It would be street legal to a point as I see dune buggies with no fenders all over the place around here. I plan on retiring in AZ anyhow so Cali can go **** itself .

I love it when others break cus I like fix'n and Pull'n. It adds entertainment too. It was great watchin Ira Dump the truck into the Rut and even better to watch the fender crumble as he tried to work his way out. it was way cool. It was real good to get out and shake down the truck she is working great and having the roof off and Nekkid is even better.

George said his dad was trying run over the brush rather than have it scrape the sides of the Hummer. It is pretty trashed but nothin a good buffing would not hide pretty well. He is asking for pix if you guys have any.

Robby got some pics of the H1. I know he got that one when it was tipsy. I need to get out and make the other side match. I am just massaging for the inevitable taper.

That was a great start at tapering the rt side. I cant wait to drop a 60 in the front of mine. I have to wait till next year though. The wife needs the Kitchen done 1st and I am in 6 to 8 grand into the truck this last year since I picked it up. I had to promise to cool it for a few months . Now I am just doing little Cheep odds and ends. Quality little improvements.

Yeah I am still running the same HMMWV tire, but on a different rim.
I still have the 5 H1 beadlocks but I am trying to figure out how best to run them. Then I will be getting new tires in the 39-42" range.

Robbie has the H1 pics on his camera but I need to get them from him. PM me your e-mail and I can send them hi-res to you rather than the resized ones I will post up.

I am slacking. I spent all day yesterday at the gun range having fun.
Fired about 1200 rounds with a few good groups.

AR15 25Yd - 50 round groups of >1.5"
1911 25Yd - 14 round groups of about 6"
Sig P226 9mm 20yd - 20 round groups about 8"
Walther P22 10yd - 40 round groups about 4"

It was a great day but the pics were the last thing on my mind. I thought I would do better with the 226.....next time I think I will try the HK USP 40.
