When did the the 99-05's switch from lift gate to tail gate?

Long story short, I need a new rear window for my 2005 Blazer. I just drove an hour in rush hour traffic and rain to find out that 1999 Blazers had a liftgate. Mine has a tailgate that drops down. The mounting points for the struts that hold up the rear window have broken off. Well, one of them has. So I have to open it and then use the strut that is no longer attached to prop it up. My brother had epoxied the mount back onto the window at one point, but it broke off again and now it's gone.

So what year has the drop-down tailgate besides a 2005?

That's weird.
I have a 97 and I know 94-98 have a tailgate and the lift glass.
I remember seing the 99 with hatch.
I don't know when they went back to tail gate.
