Where did I go wrong?

When I am on the highway, it tends to "chug" a little when I am crusing. It fights the brakes untill I am going slow, but when I am stopped, its not a problem. It has a very firm, kinda "snappy" shift, unlike how most autos shift kinda lazy. But all this said, the mods to the tranny shouldnt have any affect on my low end power? I tried to build the engine with my low end in mind, but it just doesnt seem to be there like I had wanted..
