I know this might seem simple minded to you pros, but I have a fuel pump question about a 88 ¾ ton Suburban with 5.7, TH400 and TBI. Where is the fuel pump? I only see two wires going into the top of the tank… a purple/white and grey. I assume that since there are only two going in, it’s for the fuel sender. Wouldn’t there be 4 wires if there was also a pump in there? Thanks, Alex

tbi = pump in tank.

ground wire for sender is part of the tank. factory crimped on next to the sender hole.

pink is for the sender 1 wire clip.

other 2 are for the pump.

OK... I do see a ground wire on the tab on top. So then the ground is the common return for both the pump and the fuel sender? Remember there are only two wires in the connector to the unit.
Thanks again...
