The "memory" wire is a always "hot" 12v wire,that keeps the memory alive in the radio--so you wont have to re-set the stations every time you shut the truck off....

That is a different wire for me, because my presets work. I think it was either red or orange.

most commonly its red, the yellow is the switched wire. the power antenna lead (can also be used to turn on an amp
