I am looking for a supplier for a new or rebuilt electric window motor for my 86 blazer. If I can't find one I might consider converting it to a manual handle.

I bought mine from hi lo orielly. Works good too. Good luck with whatever you find.

Remington

You tried how hard to find this?
www.autozone.com $53.99 plus $30 core
about same price at Advance, NAPA, MAIN or any of the chain stores. Common part, easy to find. Its listed under electrical as a "window regulator motor, rear" on most of those web sites.

I first went to NAPA, they only list a motor for Suburbans. Next I tried the local GM dealership; motors have been discontinued. LMC trucks no longer carries the window motor(new catalog and called to confirm), Autozone does not list any thing under window regulator on line(searched all of their data base by part name and came up with zip) Advanced Auto has one made by CARDONE for 85.99 and 20.00 core. Soooooo, I did look pretty hard.

Before you condemn the motor make sure the drive cable is not siezed up. I thought the motor was gone on mine, but it turned out that the drive cable from the motor to the regulator was bad. $25.00 at the local GM dealer.

I have already cleaned and lubricated all of the regulator moving parts includind the drive cable and pinion gear. I also disassembled the motor and cleaned the armature. Motor draws too many amps and is worse when cold. I also cleaned all the terminals on the supply wires. Motor is bad.
