OK I am doing a restore on my truck and the left (Drivers side ) fender has rust on outside of upper wheel well and at bottom by door a small pin hole. I do not have air tools or a compressor any more. What someone would charge to sand and fix it I believe is almost what another will cost.

I know I can buy cheap CAPA for $89.00 (dealer cost) but would rather have an OEM I know the OEM are heavier than the CAPA (Taiwan) ones as I have one that was on a four head light clip I bought. But one was rusted to crap and the left was dented.

Now if I was going to trim it there would be no problem. But to pay someone to fix an aftermarket when I can buy new ready to prime and paint makes no sense. I need to find a NOS ($499.00) ochie or some where to buy a used one.

I want rust free. Suggestions?

OH yea here is what the aftermarket looks like that is damaged. I was so happy to be getting the front header, lights, grille and harness for $175.00 I didn't care about the rest to be honest. The bumper and Hood was perfect and my hood had a ding in center line.

Did you check with GM? No clue if they are still selling them, but they might be.

Ahh, so "ochie" means "not willing to pay that much", correct? :)

I suspect shipping is a killer on something that size, probably tons rust free in the Southwest.

Do you know anyone who actualy got a part off there. I am still getting spam from them when I was looking for my rear seat. They send you an email saying check our web site or call (insert name and a number). When you call they are like nope.... :(

Would putting the used one on eBay starting at a $1.00 local pick up be fair?

Don't expect to pay less than 400 for OEM... IF you can find em... Chevy Duty had em up to a couple years ago..

Heck, price out OEM doors... :eek1: :haha:
