Just did my 241....very easy...
www.blumenthalmfg.com....in OKC
www.nationaldrivetrain.com...in Chi and Atl
www.motivegear.com.....is where I got my exploded TC and parts list....they are wholesale only.....
Bearing and seal kit was $111....range fork (mine was toast) $58...chain was $92...
I got several extra snap rings that go right outside the oil pump bearing (very first one you get to) since they are prone to breakage ($1ea) dealer wants $8 ea...
couple snap rings are a PITA, so quality snap ring pliers are a good investment...I cleaned everything....total time invested R&R, replaced everything, and cleaning was about 4 hrs or so....I got held up when I found the bad range fork, so I spent time cleaning while I was waiting for the fork to be delivered.....
I have a heated shop and air tools, so driveway rebuild may take longer....241 weighs about 80lb, pretty easy to drop/replace....
I feel better knowing exactly what I have in there rather than spending $300 on a wrecking yard piece....Have fun,,,
