...for the inside of my axle tubes.

I need to get the inside of them spotless, and I know that'll probably do the trick. Co I get an extension for it to get it all the way to the center section?

Generally speaking those usually aren't real rusted inside. And they shouldn't be on a 10 bolt like you have. Its supposed to oil being sprayed through the tube to lube the axle bearings. But for the hone try ebay, get a 3 stone model. They make drill extensions so I think you could find one in a hardware store.

A little rust is no big deal. Lots of rust makes me wonder if the axle was under water and not drained for a while:dunno::thinking:

Get yourself a piece of round stock or threaded rod (the largest that will fit your drill) then if you have the means, cut a 4" or so slot down one end that will accomodate a scotch brite pad and spin away.

I've also stuck on large chucks of steel wool and spun them inside a tubular object to clean it.
