Im looking for a great rideing ( for a truck ) lift.Since it doesnt sag in the rear I just want blocks for now,and Ill decide what to do back there later.

I hear good things about tough country springs. Don't forget about all the other things though ie shocks, steering, brake lines, driveshaft length, pinion angle.

How high a lift do ya want? I've got a 3" ORD kit on mine, 3" Tough Country EZ rides w/ HD shackles up front, a shackle flip out back. It also has a weld on steering box brace and a bolt on one (both good things for bigger tires). I've got what look to be their base model shocks (all this was installed by the PO). My Jimmy rides very nicely with this set up, smooth! I think ORD sells the whole thing as a kit now, springs, shocks, shackles, steering braces, pitman arm, extended brake lines, sway bar disco's, the whole thing. There are a lot of other great kits out there but, this is the only set-up I have personal experience with. I have yet to wheel it (my motor blew up two weeks after I bought the truck) but, the impression that I have gotten is that it ought to work well offroad.

Since I got my tax return I was thinking 2 or 3" .Im mainly wanting to replace the 30 yr old springs that are bouncing me all over the road, plus gain a little room for my 33`s that hit on hard bumps.
Plus some other stuff, like the bolt on steering brace, brake lines if needed and maybe the rock sliders some one has for $98.

yeah, if you're hitting your 33's over road bumps, it's time to upgrade. my 33s don't rub until i'm pretty well flexed offroad. they don't rub at all on the front.

with a small lift like that, you should only need:

front lift springs
shocks
rear blocks in your case
drop steering arm
brake relocation kit or longer lines
proper u-bolts

that's off the top of my head. angles shouldn't be a problem. supposedly, some guys run 6" lifts with stock shafts.

i believe diy4x has the $98 sliders. looks like a great deal. i was going to jump on it last month, but with christmas, property tax, etc. etc. i was guarding every penny like it was a diamond or something. :k5: (i just wanted to use the little blazer thing. there's no good reason. :p:)

Im getting the lift from ORD for $225 http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/TuffCountry.htm
And there steering brace $120
And its DPI who has $98 rock sliders.
PLUS im thinking about Blazenoffroad`s tube doors for $180 a PAIR. :)

Do ya`ll really think with 3" lift , I`ll need drop steering arm(the web site says no) or brake relocation kit or lines?ORD has Extended Braided Stainless Brakeline kits for $112

I`ve changed my mind (again)...4WP.com has a 2.5 lift WITH rear blocks and 4 shocks for $428.Which winds up being $100 cheaper than going with ORD.

Ya but does it come with all the great stuff my kit comes with????:)In the For Sale forum, for those that don't know.

you have a point, will you sale me yours shipped for 428? 4WP has free shipping for those that dont know ;)

pick up a set of 56's for the rear,
Buy the flip and switch kit from DIY4x
This will give you 4 inches and great flex/ride for about 250 in the rear

Front
Use your stock 52 inch (old rear springs)
Follow the write up in the tech section

It's cheaper than new springs all around!
and (i think) rides better!

call Kert at diy4x he'll guide you through it!

Not to Hijack the thread but what is the website for DPI?

You aren't going to find a better deal than Chevysmithz71's. He'd be nuts to sell it to you for $428 shipped. Since he mentioned shipping runs about $100 why not find out exactly what it would be? It's a great deal.
