Where to mount cb??????

Thats an "interesting" dash cover but i do like the C/B mount I'm assuming you don't have many middle seat passengers

Na' in California you can't drive anyone for one year after you get your license or until you turn 18 so I am alone most of the time. Plus w/ the TC shifter there it's an emergency seating position only.

Oh yeah, the dash....I'm trying to get a stock one but I haven't found one yet and LMC, Classic Industries, etc. seemed a bit expensive.

Me too but I'm thinking about getting a real dash because that one rattles around from time to time since it can't be clipped in any longer.
It's fun though. Especially for High School in the parking lot, it's a show stopper.

Everyone's like forget the thousands of dollars invested into the truck, I want to know about that fur and hot glue gun dash! lol

mine i just screwed the mount thingy onto the front of my console so its pointing toward the roof of my truck i can get a pic tomorrow if you want.

Here how mine is mounted. It is in the factory stereo slot. I still need to fab a cover plate for it to smooth things out .

CB is a PC79elite. I have had no issues with the mic cord and my feet with this mounting.

That's what I want to do, since my stereo is in the Tuffy console. How did you mount it? I haven't given it much thought, but it doesn't look like there is much to use behind the dash.

I had to fab a bracket that bolts to the inside of the dash and acts as a riser for the CB mount that came with it. It was a little tuff to get the measurments right as there are several angles do to the shape of the inside of the dash area.

believe it or not my hair is at least as long if not longer now than it was in those pictures. But now it's all pushed back so no more mullet.
