yeah im leaning more and more towards option 1 today plus i think i will have a little bit of money left over for some other goodies :)

When I first did mine I put a detroit in, warn 35 spine hubs, and 35 spine yukon chromo outers... once I assembled one of the shafts with stock inner and chromo outer with a new spicer joint I realized that I had a problem. The recesses in the stock inner are not deep enough for the thicker ears on the chromo stubs... so I had to buy chromo inners as well. I run h1s with 42 iroks and have had no problems with the shafts, joints, or detroit. I did wind up trading back in my warn hubs for some warn drive flanges bc I broke two hubs... I would also reccomend hydro assist if you havent done that yet.

gabe

ps here is the yukon stub he he he

how much where your inners??where did you end up getting them at

x2.

i think PORC has the cheapest prices on everything, and i think i remember hearing that they price match or beat it if you can find it cheaper. ive bought alot of stuff from them and have had decent service, will probably buy my stuff from them cuz there prices were significantly less on the stuff i wanted

yea i think im going to order everything i need/want at once...thats not gona be a cheap bill

they are a vendor on here now, so pm him and see what kinda deal you can get.

i just looked on there website and a few others and here is what ive found

400 bucks for inners
200 for outers
360 for u joints

puts it under 1000 bucks...

now for 800 more i can have more turning raduis and smooth steering under full throttle but i would need to get a detroit...hmmm lots of thinking to do..mabye i should just do less thinking and buy some thing

or just weld the front for now, and then get a selectable locker later

You can always call Bobby Long and talk to him about running his shafts with a welded front. If you are just doing it until you can get the funds for a locker and depending on tire size he might say it is OK. Usually if there is a disclaimer like that there is a reason for it.

Ordered my Yukon 4340 60 shafts yesterday fro DC4WD.com yesterday and paid. Inners (right and left side) $314 shipped, stubs were $116 each shipped
Went with the Longfield u-joints $370 shipped. DC4wd is located outside of Roanoke, Va not to far from you. I have bought alot of stuff from him and usually beats everyone elses prices badly.

Couple other quotes he gave me for dana 60 stuff.
Yukon 35 spline innners and outers and super joint kit $826 shipped
Set of super joints w/grease gun and grease $352 shipped

Also got a set of 2" lift 52" rears Rough Country brand for $300 shipped.

Alloy USA shafts are only ~$10 more per shaft and are much better quality than Yukon shafts.

There are lots of people out there who break stock shafts before their new Yukon shafts (D60, 35 spline on both). Yukon has lots of quality control issues.

are the Evolution shafts the top of the line?

thats alot of coin...you were halfway to a set of cv's

$900 is still a heck of alot less than $1800:eek1: for the cvs. No way I could justify that. I going to run a similar setup like yours 44's on h1s and detroit front.
