I'm here, and looking forward to the opener in THREE days!!! I'm heading out Thursday evening, so I can double check my zero on Friday, then out before dawn on Saturday. With all the rain we have'nt got this year, I'm thinking it's gonna be a tough season. I sure am not looking forward to the heat!

I'm startin' to get the itch myself but the opener isn't til Oct. 17th.
Got this guy this morning, I call him "stubby". My Grandpa would've said I got a "jinx" buck.
Once again the season is nearly upon us, but I have a baby coming today or tomorrow. As much as my beautiful woman tells me that I have to go hunting, I don't think I'll make the opener. Luckily, I've got a woman who loves to eat venison, and she insists I put some in the freezer.

Mofugly good to hear from you. CONGRATS on the new baby and the wife. She's a keeper if she's pushing you go hunting and she likes venison. Takes a special woman to understand our habit.
I will be missing the opener also. The last couple of years there has been a lot of damn people shooting at anything that moves and decided that I would miss it. I will be going out Monday and Tuesday instead.

Going back to Eastern, OK on Sept 30th to set up deer camp. I'll be out there for the start of rifle season the Sat before Thanksgiving. My FIL's season starts Oct 9th I think for Archery. Got swept last year so I hope this year is better.

The first 5 weeks of the season, I was convinced there were no deer left on the ranch I hunt, but got cold last Sunday and rained, and all of a sudden, there were deer coming out everywhere! I got two good bucks, one on Wednesday, and one Thursday evening. Pics to follow.

I got Elliot from Open Season the cartoon on opening day and just couldn't connect the rest of the season.
Congrats again they look really healthy.
