I'm going one ton and while laying underneath my 76 to see what all needs to be done for my swap it looks like I've cracked my engine crossmember:doah: Which replacement should i buy? ORD, Twizted Engineering, someone else? Pros Cons, I like the high and tight look of the ORD but the Twizted one looks super beefy and has the removable center section.

I have an ORD crossmember, it's a really nice piece and it fit very well. That said if I had it to do again I would probably try to get a Dcubb crossmember (not sure if he's still making them). While I like the look of the tube crossmember better the outboard ends of the Dcubb design could provide a nice place to build bump stop mounts - the ORD has no extra "meat" for this. I'm sure the Twisted Eng. design is a good one but, imo, the bolt together design just has too many places to work loose and/or move. I prefer a "k.i.s.s" design.

Theres a used Dcubb on pirate I have inquired about, although I'm concerned about clearance issues with just a 4" lift, will it be an issue?

No issues with any lift of any amount. It will fit stock lifts, etc. Unless you're running his one-off panhard setup, then you may need a slight lift.

Damn. Wished he was still around fabbing these. I need the panhard bar and bracket at the axle end. Already have the crossmember.

couldn't be too hard to replicate, I can drop it off at a couple shops I do business with at work and get you a quote.
