Hey guys,

Away from my garage, but want to order a new EGR valve.

Any idea which AC Delco one i need for my truck?

Rockauto has 3 delcos....

Truck is a 91, V2500 burb, 350 TBI, 4l80e

Is there rhyme and reason to which trucks got which, or do i just need to check the numbers on it?

the "tell" is the 7th letter on the vin...... that may be what plant it was, etc, I don't know..... plus throw in they have like 10 different indexing washers for each one that you have to match up...

Yah. Maybe ill just go see what is on it. Unfortunately, i think i used a thermal label....that is probably totally black and unreadable.:doah:

eh, mine's still throwing random code 32's... runs fine...

they didn't put ANY washer in mine, let alone write the OEM number on it so I could look it up on the chart.... so i had to guess, apparently i guessed wrong... :doah: :haha:

Haha. Mine only runs now that the vac line to the egr solenoid is plugged. Before I disconnected it, it bucked and surged and wasn't happy under light throttle.

And its the last thing I need to fix to have a code free truck!

yeah, that's the typical bad EGR symptoms, off idle issues.. my K5 did it...

mine'll trip the light for a couple minutes on occasion, than it'll go out...

Mine was on and off and on all the whole 5+ hr trip, starting on the freeway at cruise speed about 5 min from my house:haha:

Really don't have to fix it til smog time....but for the number of times i've had issues with it, i figure it might take me a while to get it figured out.

Check AC Delco's web site. They probably list one for your truck. I used a 214-5073 for my 91 K5' 350 & 700R. Solved the surge problem for me.
