want a nice ride, will defiantly be towing. I have a Manx type dune buggy and a single axle trailer, could be long hauls. Also 21' deck boat, just to ramp and back 2-3 miles one way. Would like to be able to tow 2 car axle trailer, you know when the bargain project need to be towed home.

i towed some BIG trailers and weight on my old k30 with a 4" flip kit for years and stock gm old crusty shackles and no problems .

Spent some time on ORD today, clicking on stuff they have some good info tucked away. So towing-hualing will be the same for shackle flip as tension
Using stock 56" springs will not give any appreciable lift. Also that the longer wheel bases will probably need to shim to lower pinion for proper angle.

Found some archived post from ColoradoK5, 56" better ride more flex.
I am now leaning toward 56" stock lift springs with 4" shackle flip.
The Tuff co EZ rides from ORD are $624, good price btw, but only come with lift built in. The best price and shipping. I found for stock 2600 pd 56" was here https://www.generalspringkc.com. Any one have an opinion on this company.
I might be able to swing my ORD list and the springs.
Especially since I scored a smoking deal on energy suspensions body mounts.

and 22-547 is a good spring i have in my trucks and other rides i have built for people . not near as stiff as k30 spec but still a good ride .

and if loading a lot i would do some bump stop units like timbren . i have them on my beater k30 with these springs and she does real good .

My burb is running 3" EZ-rides (non-HD) and stock-height 1875# rear springs from General Spring KC (paired with 3" blocks). I've run them for 2 years now, with zero complaints. I watched prices for a while before ordering. Eventually found the EZ rides on sale for $300 shipped (instead of $624), and about $200 for the General springs. So it might be worth some shopping if you have time.

But the important part is that both spring sets worked well. Installation and driving have been smooth and easy. I did pick the lightest spring rates available. It's easy to make springs stiffer or add airbags. But starting with stiff springs removes that option. So far I haven't wanted any additional stiffness, even when hauling concrete. So I'm glad I erred on the side of softness.

Currently I have 52" 3/4 ton rear springs, 6 + 1, 2775 pd rating, and 4" blocks. 56" 1 ton springs I purchased 8+1, 2600 pd rating. Not sure if I will modify the new springs. Going 4" shackle flip with the stock 1 ton springs. I will see if ORD has any recommendations when I order the flip. Front will happen after truck money fund recovers from rear upgrade.

Did you call ORD? They do custom spring packages and I know Chris tows with his all the time. You might want to talk to him.
