This question is about carb manifolds adapted to TBI with adaptor plates not the TBI manifolds. I was told that the single plane is better because the cylinders will pull thier mix from a common source where as the dual plane could cause rich/lean cylinder conditions unless you have matched injectors. Anybody got any feedback on this??

When I set mine up, I was told the dual plane manifold is better. I can't find the source now, but I think it was from tbichips.com.

Dual plane manifolds are best for low end torque and lower RPM's, single plane manifolds are best for top end HP and high RPM's.

I agree, a TBI adapted to dual plane intake manifold is an excellent choice for a street / pickup / RV (less than 4500 RPM) application. A carburetor dual plane intake is a "wet flow" (fuel / air mixed) and the factory TBI intake manifold is also a "wet flow" dual plane intake.

Where some confusion might happen, is with a Port Injection conversion. A Port Injection conversion will work better on a single plane intake manifold.
