So I am piecing together this truck and am missing the piece that holds the radiator in on the top side. Truck is an 82"(well, sort of:rolleyes: ). I have 2 radiators sitting here, one for my 74 with a 454 and one for the 82 with 454. The one for the 82 is bigger so I figured I would use that. The top support is different though. I looked throught LMC truck and Chevy Duty and there are 2 options listed that cover this year truck. Any idea which one is the right part?:dunno:

got all the parts for my 454 radiator in 1985 blazer from Chevy dealer. there is a flat plate that mounts to the core support and holds th passenger side and 3/4 of the way to the drivers side with a seperate bracker to hold the extreme driverside of the radiator. all bolt holes are treeaded on the rad support fot this application,

The ones from LMC are pretty cheap. Just not sure which one to get. I would prefer to see one in person, local maybe so I could figure out which one really works.

The bigger radiators had the bolts in the top of the core support , you open hood look down and there they are . I think tow package , heavy duty , a/c trucks , and big block trucks .

Smaller radiators had the bolts going in the core support pointing towards the front of the truck and horizontal , the radiator is shorter . I think heater only six and small block trucks with standard cooling .

I'm going to say LMC is probably showing the Blazer only mounts. There were only two of THAT style, basically two brackets, for the "large" Blazer radiator, they stick out just like pictured above, but not connected in the center. The "small" radiator brackets bolt on the same way, but drop down a couple of inches for a shorter radiator.

Pictured above is what is correct for a big block radiator, so unless you are looking at a pickup catalog, the catalog probably won't list the above.
