Which shock mounts do I use?

I just put a 4" lift on my /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif . It had quad shocks from the factory, I'm just putting one back on. I'm cofused about which shock I need to put on. It seems that a couple of websites say something about the long shock going back on. After looking at front shock mounts, the short one is the one that actually bolts in the factory bracket, while the long bolts on the outside of it. Am I looking at something in the wrong way or do I need to put the short shock on instead of the long?
