Which Swampers are better...

As with all big tires, any of them are going to wear faster than smaller street tires. I just want better ride characteristics. I have driven bias ply tires before and do know radials are better.

BTW, these Radial Swampers I want to get are the 10 ply tires.

And also, this truck I'm building is going to be a play truck, too.

10 ply rated. They are not 10 ply tires. Check with Interco if you don't believe me.

good tires that are bigger should last longer

You either got lied to or bought the wrong tires. I have a new set of Radial 36's and the first trip out in them the drivers side rear side wall WASTED!!!! Then after I got the spare on we got stuck in the same mud holes as the one we came in on. So they didn't clean out all that well.
Then to top that as I was cleaning the mud from the underside, I saw that the "sidewall type" tread was starting to seperate from the tire.
SO NOW, you tell me if you really are dead set on the Radials?
I have never had the Bias ply's but the radials ride ok over 20 MPH, under that they feel like and earthquake.
I would recommend the BIAS. Im ordering a set of 2 tomorrow to replace the rears and keep a radial as a spare if the side wall tread doesnt peel all the way off before then.

My Radials (36x12.5x16"), rode like a champ!! At slow speeds, they do shake a little, b/c of the tread pattern, but at that speed, it's slow enough to not be a big deal. It smooths out at higher speeds. I rode on these radials up to 85 mph with no vibes. Believe it or not, I have a set of BFG At's on right now (35") and they ride way worse than my TSL Rads. Gives me death vibes at 65 and even at slower speeds. But it's mainly b/c it's a crappy bad wear, set of BFGs. They're starting to smooth out though. But I'm losing tread on them rapidly.
I'm moving up in size and to BP, so I need a set of street shoes.

I have a set of 35 12.50 15 ssr radials and I have already had to send one back because of a bubble in the sidewall I have only put about 5000 mi on them. I am still happy with them though they have awsome off-road performance and are also quiet on road. My friend has a 2002 f-350 powerstroke with an 8in lift and 38 tsl radials and they seem to be pretty good the truck prolly only has 1000 miles so we will see how they do.

Out of all the offroad tires I have had, the Boggers ride the best on the highway. I like taking long trips, listening to the low pitched howl - similar to a Helicoptor. They only have flat spots for like the first 5 miles I drive. The off-road performance is awesome. When my Bimmer starts riding rough, I just grab the keys to the K5 and cruise. I just have to raz you - pavement pounder!! (just kidding)

Of course, this was all a joke!

Not sure which tires ride the best, I would say most Interco tires have very thick tread/sidewall plys, so you will not get a cadillac like ride, but off-road performace is killer. I have heard the SSR's are as heavy as a regular Swamper. You can't beat an Interco in my opinion.

I have Steve Fox's Old 36's on my truck, and i think we can all agree that he wasn't real gentle with them, and well...neither am I, I figure based on what Steve Told me and what i know i have some where between 20-25,000 miles on them now, Its my Daily, And i should easily see the other side of 30,000, with no problems, They don't vibe too bad, for not being balanced, and they ride nice, They also do real well off road, ya i've chunked a few lugs, but hell, trying to hold a three ton truck by a fingernail, i expect to chunk a few lugs, all in all i've been very happy with my Radials, and can't wait to buy a new set!
