I have a TH-350 to NP203 setup now in my 75 k-10. The 350 has a crack in the case and must be replaced. Can I use a 2WD TH-350 and swap output shafts? Or do i need a specific 4WD trans? I've been searching for about an hour or so, and havent found exactly what I'm looking for. Also has anyone ever purchased an autozone transmission. A good friend is a manager there and can work a 20% discount... just dont know if it's worth it. Just wanna be sure before I drop the big bucks.:) Thanks for any help or links.

all the same case with the exception of the 350-c lockup tranny. but for 4x4 use i would go k case the 4x4 case is much thicker at the bellhousing area. az tranny will require good core or you eat it. decent tranny but stock reman. thay come with convertor and are dyno tested with sheet.

you didnt say where your crack is? may be fixable.

How can you tell if a "K" case. Ive got a fresh th350 and was wodnering how I could tell?

lt duty cases are 2 screws on each side for the dust cover that is tin. and hd (k case ) is 3 bolts on each side with the alum dust cover and it takes the brace rods from the motor mounts and it also has a k molded in the bell area about 3-4" in size.

77-up are k case, IE uses strut rods and bigger bolts and holes and such

before then they were all same
