I'm looking for a new work rig and i found a 92 3/4 ton of the 6 lug variety. Did those have the 4l60e or the 4l80E?

Look at the pan, count the number of bolts:

4L60e is 16 bolts, pan is very square.
4L80e is 17 bolts, pan is more rectangular.

The ones I have worked on had 4l80's I have worked on 2 like that lately. I do not know if the 60 was an option.

Both of these were 8 lug semi float 14 bolts.

6 lugs 3/4 ton = 1/2 ton with 14bsf and heavier springs. Same frame and drivetrain as a 1/2. 90% sure it'll have a 4l60e.
