Just bought this '86, p/o put a crate motor in it with a carb. Which wire to h/u to + choke? The green wire and the tan/black both have 12v with key on.......does it matter which one to use?

Thank you, that's what was hooked up when I got it but after finding what I have found I'm not too trusting of the previous owner.

Finally.................after 100 views somebody tried to help! Thanks again.

thats because there is a LOT less traffic in this section. faster replys get handed down in the GARAGE section.

and yes if factory carbd its the green wire for the factory choke.

I thought since it is related to a specific year this would be the better forum to post in. I found the factory brochures show that it was carb'd. A wiring schematic would be nice so I can find out what the tan/blk wire was for. I will keep searching.

Thanks for the response.

ya only the die hard come in here a lot. the major traffic is the garage. thats o.k. tho.

try a search in the garage or post pics of the wire in question and were its at in the area you can see it. someone will post up were it goes.

Thanks, neither is constant. Both have 12v when KO only. Was wondering if either one would effect the electronics in the distributor if hooked up to the choke. Sounds stupid I know but had to ask. Will be rebuilding the carb to get the erratic idle/ stumbling while holding rpm up.
