Yes I can use a vise and sockets, or pipe.
IDK do you have Habor Freight in the UK? The ball joint tool kit works well for uj esp in the field.
i have use a c-lamp and socket and hammer all my life to change em out
Rock auto actually has a section here. Make sure you grab the %5 discount code. Got any Nato surplus places? CUCV will share some parts.
I have relatives somewhere in England, I have meet 2 cousins. that was back before William And Harry were born. I have lost contact.
We have another new UK member he has 2 Squares, He posted just a few above yours in the new member thread. Also 1 in Spain, and I think 2 in Sweden and I'm sure there are a couple more from Europe.
I was gonna ask isn't that big 6.2L taxed to all get out? What would it cost to drive into London for a day ?
this is similar to the tool I use, can do many things.

this one is priced @ the same we would pay $ for same quality.
other than the diesel fuel system swap. would be almost bolt in. the 4l60e will mate with current t case and adapter. then is just the computer and wiring. Radiator might need changing, the 6.2l is bigger and has the engine oil cooler. I guess the radiator would depend on inlet and outlet locations
edit 4l60e might need a different output shaft.
If tc stays locked up the eng may stall when put in gear. Iirc there is a vacuum switch in the control circuit. Also a break switch. Might want to check over the controls before you plug it in.
If it locks outside of 4th gear and 38 to 45 mph, you get to convert, I would suspect the tcc solenoid.
I was going to ask about a wifeDo you have kids in the back seat?
yes when locked up, if you rest your foot on the brake pedal rpm should increase @100 to 150 above previous rpm for same speed.
buy me a pint of cider and i'll come help,Spot on il give it a try once i start knocking bits of the list lol
