So far i've only found offroad design and oru make them. Anyone else make crossover steering?

Thanks for the info. I had the ord setup on my old rig, but it kept making contact with the engine crossmember, so i figured i would look at everyone's setup and go from there.

Parts Mike, Ballistic fab, Off Road Design, WFO concepts, Northwest Fab, Sky Manufacturing, Poly Performance. I am sure there are others, dang near everyone makes a crossover or high steer kit nowadays

Sky manufacturing makes a nice kit as well with a good price to match! I prefer their one piece steering arm. I have run their 44 and 60 kits with no issues!

I sorta backed into a Sky setup. Works well, bend in the draglink contacts the stock x-member on a 3" lift, so the ORD x-member went in.

My only grumble would be that I contacted Sky and asked which ends they used on their GM setup so that I may purchase a spare. The reply puzzled me, though. No request for a PO or serial number, but he wanted pictures?? Really, can you tell the difference on the TRE taper dimensions from a picture ?? Nevermind that if I have it apart to take a picture, I could actually measure the darn thing, and purchase said spare anywhere else but Sky :doah:?? Again, the steering setup works well :D, no problem with contact to the springs, just an odd reply to a parts query...

what I really like about, and why I went with NWF's arm is this part of their description...

they have that angle in em to help clear large backspacing... I have not seen that in any other arm.... I do wish they had the "spring eliminator" set screws that Ballistics have, but oh well.....

Does that mean you don't need to run wheel spacers in front and rear?

Contact on the crossmember is usually due to low lift. My K5 is running a set up from Rockstomper (no longer makes) that works great but it does touch the crossmember due to my sagging 3" springs.

Gonna bump this back up. Anyone using Blazenoffroad crossover? Jesse's price came in pretty cheap for full highsteer on a D44.

I would leave the tierod in the stock position on a D44. Highsteer puts alot of stress on the knuckles. After seeing several knuckle failures with highsteer I would not run it on the stock knuckles even on a D60 that gets wheeled.

so what do you do to prevent the tie rod from takin a beatin w/o goin full hi-steer???

I run a sleeved tie rod which is one piece of dom tube over another and welded together on the ends and it has seen quite a few rocks with no issues. You can also have one made from 7075 aluminum. This picture is after it's 3rd repaint from tagging rocks almost 2 years ago.

I did a lot of research and contacted most of the vendors named earlier and the general consensus was on a D44 to leave the highsteer for D60's. And that's the route I went with www.WFOConcepts.com. I have enough trouble with ball joints that I didn't need to add more stress to the uppers.

Also to answer your question about the potential rock rash on the tie rod, get thick/big DOM and deal with it.

i run NWF, and really like the setup. plus they arethe tallest arms, so you wont have clearance issues with the spring plate with 52's if ur axle is moved forward a bunch
