Hmm, So I'll be the black sheep in this thread.
If I were shopping for an '04 diesel tow rig, It would be the Dodge with the "redesigned" Cummins 600. I can't remember where I saw this, but it was a picture of the connecting rods of the big three diesels. Power Stroke, Duramax and Cummins. The Cummins rod was massive compared to the others. That said, I have driven both the Duramax and Powerstroke trucks. My bud just got a new to him PSD F-350 Ext. cab dually. Chiped, straight pipes and all. That thing is sooooo impressive to ride in and tow with. A good friend of my gramps has the '03 Duramax 3500, chipped with all goodies, and its pretty damn impressive as well. The Cummins is the same for the most part, but after seeing the picture of the connecting rods, I'm convinced. I know Lance over at PBB just got twin turbo's for is Cummins, he's expecting something like 800lb-ft of torque and 500hp... /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

they are all about the same cubes if i recall correctly... maybe i dont, anywho, thats why the rods would have to be larger. larger piston.
anyway, i drove an 04 dodge cummins 2wd cc short box the other day. had a 6 smeep. that will be my next truck. an 05 dodge 2wd cc 6 speed cummins long bed dually.
drool.
i want. thing has a LOT of get up. smoked a mustang on the freeway. spedo was broken, yeah, brand new rig, what gives...
but it was nice ride and i think in personal opinion, stronger than the Dmax or Pstroke.
dodge has fixed a few problems in the pas t couple years. now they just need an auto tranny worth a crap. but im buying a stick, so all is good.
