Who has a stock shortbed truck?

I'm trying to find out the length of a stock rear driveline for a '74-'79 Chevy shortbed 1/2 ton 4x4, no lift, with a TH350 and NP203 T-case.

I have a rear driveline out of a '73 K5 that had an SM465/205, and Im wondering of the two lengths will be close at all.

i just measured one today for a guy, it was on a lifted truck but i think it was stock length still.

46" center to center with like 2" left of compression. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
