Who has clocked their t-case up to be level with the frame? Howd u do it?

I want to get the full skidplate setup but can't put a body lift on right now. Probably just clock it as far as i can then worry about gettin the crossmember and skidplate.
yea that's what i'm thinking, i'll probably throw a 1"ord body lift on mine clock it up as much as i can and just make a skidplate that is still flat but isn't flush with the frame, mabye tapers up on the sides to mount to the frame.. it's my dd so i just can't see putting a hole in my floor yet. either way you still gain a bunch of clearance and don't have to worry about leaving it behind you when you go over big rocks.. thanks Esteban for the awesome idea

How far can a guy clock a transfer case before you have to start worrying about oiling issues?

The 208 and 241 have the same bolt pattern up front so you can use the clocking ring for either one.
If you use a clocking ring, doesn`t the shaft come out more with less contact?

Yes, but it's only 3/8 of an inch and there is plenty of shaft that still engages so it's not even a factor. And you can clock it all the way up with no oiling issues. The oil pickup is still submerged when it's clocked up.

but if your off camber, leaning toward the drivers side, the pickup will become exposed easier the more its clocked. im not sure how the oiler works, if its only needed when traveling at speed, but if your sidehilling at that side of the truck is up higher, seems like it could run dry.

Sure it would run dry. But your doing less than 5mph and usually only for a few feet. Don't think you need to worry about it.

If you have a 205 or 208, there's no pickup to worry about, because there's no pump. They are splash-lube cases IIRC. The 241 does have a pump, but as Esteban stated, you're generally not gonna be going fast enough at those angles, for a long enough time period, to hurt anything. It'll still splash-lube itself to some degree anyway.

do u mean 205 or 203? im pretty sure the 208 is very similar to the 241.

i kinda figured it wouldnt matter in that situation. good to know tho:thumb:

the 208 and 241 are similar but the 208 does not have a pump in it.

also when in an offcamber situation, the pump pickup may be dry, but all the fluid is going to the part of the case that the pump pumps the fluid to. when switched sides, the pump is pumping the fluid to keep the top lubricated.

No pump in a 208?

Then what is the pump in the rear of the 208 for?
Looking at a repair manual there is the rear retainer and pump housing. And an oil pump gear that is driven by the main shaft.

I dunno that looks like a pump to me.

Esteban86K5 that looks badass!
