i'm looking to retain my 6" springs and just get better ride quality instead of the wonderfull jarring affect that lift springs usually offer. i know a few guys have done it on here, but couldn't find any real diffinative result afterwords....

It has been done, IMO more of the overall gain from switching to 52's is from the better shackle angle than the longer springs.

I'd highly recommend moving the rear hanger on the front springs forward for any K5 that sees offroad use.

And of course it will make it ride smoother too.

I plan on moving mine forward for a better angle and running a longer shackle, don't have any complaints about the ride, the 6" springs just make the shackle angle suck

I did it on mine with 3" TC springs. It rode and flexed better.

I used the upper mount from DIY and I had a set of BDS bushings that worked perfect so I didn't need any spacers. I drilled out the rivits and used the bottom front hole to line it all up. The shackels are 6".
