Looking to make a set of bumpers, seen many good ones here, who has templates.drawings from their home-built bumpers?

I have the cad drawing for the top plate I drew and had cut for richcz28's rear bumper. That's it though, mine have all been one offs during late night beer drinking sessions... Lol.

I posted mine once, which I feel is more than generous.

what thread?

Could probably dig it up with an advanced user search and keyword bumper.

I did my old one the easiest way you can. 5in Cchannel/box as wide as the frame, 5in Cchannel/box from there to the ends of the fenders with a taper to 3in cut in it.

Oh, I didn't know I could do that, I tried to search his posts from his profile, but had a buttload of posts.

Thanks.

Templates? Drawings? I'm lucky I used a measuring tape when I built mine :haha:

Especially given that there's at least two major flavors of bumper ends (73-80 and 81+) plus the variations from truck to truck, figure on custom-building your bumper(s) for your specific truck. Also depends on whether you like the pre-runner round-tube style, or the solid-panel/square-tube rock crawler variety.

There's bazillions of threads with good PHOTOS, at least, which you may have already found. 4x4High's gave me some good ideas, and I did my usual over-documentation in a thread about mine. Elsewise, you can just search for "bumper" threads and be inundated.

Lol, now I need a damn conch shell, too? :haha:

Somebody should make a tool sticky of what Paul secret drawer in the snappy box holds and how he builds awesomeness with them. :thumb:

This could have saved my years on the build with just the magic 8ball. :doah:

I tried to copy the chassis unlimited rear bumper, it was 4am and about a 30 rack in, I think I did ok. Its still not done. But i think i did ok. Should have put it about an inch higher, but oh well. It serves its purpose as a good zip tie holder for the license plate.

Also after building mine and seeing how close the tail gate is to my bumper, that chassis unlimited one must be damn near touching the gate when its down....

Plus mine has way many more good memories :D

New bumper find

Just picked mine up today... Can't wait to get it fabed up and on the K5!
