WHO HAS THE BADDEST TOUGHEST BLAZER ON CK5????

While the Potent Rodent does rank right up there, Im, well.....
lets just put it this way...

I have Deps rig (green) on the ramp as my wallpaper. LOL!!!! It proves to be good inspiration.

Will work for beer, parts and tools.

Ummm, thanks Shawn. Even getting mentioned in this post is cool. Personally I have used almost every K5 pic on this site as wall-paper. My wife is getting sick of looking at them!

It might sound dumb, but I don't think there is an over all best K5 on this site, but there are many personal best K5's. Every truck is built individually for the personal needs of each of based on the wheeling/driving priorities each of us have. After saying that I agree with the stand-outs already mentioned (excepting mine, I'm not finished enough to start tooting just yet)
So in no particular order.........Depdogs beast, Shawns Potent Rodent (can't wait to see the 496 in there!

) Steve's UAV, Stephen's ORD special and pcorsmiths (sp?) Sawzall special! Love an ugly truck too!

Do we get extra points for trail dents (I have one or two).

An added benefit or the sawzall is that I can fit mine in a standard garage with the 39.5s.

I failed to mention Petes ride-

Yes, it does have one or two dents in the body like Pete said. Also has some minor fender trimming...

I mean how could you not resist the rust so bad that you can hear it...doors that dont seal...the sound of the ground passing underneath the carpet(only carpet no metal)....the body so bad that the rear tailgate wont close left side....the sweet daul exhaust that brings tears to your eyes(literally)....my CUSTOM JAMES BOND smoke screen....vise grip window crank....oh yea and the PERFECT dash that is for the wrong year and doesnt fit right......
OOOOOHHHHH IT IS A BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY~! Excuse me i have to go cry now!

YEA RIGHT!!!!!!!!1

MY DRINKING TEAM HAS A FOUR WHEELING PROBLEM!

My feelings are that everyong builds their K-5 for what they use it for. I love mine! Yes there are people that have better axle combo then I do... others have different taste in suspension that I have done. Let's remember that all of them started the same way.... I've dumped over $8 k in mine in the last 5 years and still not done..... But I use my k-5 for light 4 wheeling and to tow my boat and Harley's.... Some of you use it just as an off road vehical and set them up different. So for what I want mine for it bad enough.... Just my to cents!!!!

<font color=black>the blazer is "Back in Black"

Here's the way I'll split my vote:

For an indestructible brute - Steve Watsons rig; hands down
For an all-round best - Shawn's Blazer has been most of my inspiration - It's just a beautiful machine!!!
For someopne who has made a capable, functional & rugged rig with a strict budget in mind, I'd have to vote Depdog!
Just stop buying those expensive wheels Glenn!!

wink.gif
- It's killing the made-it-myself, on a budget image!
smile.gif

Now in light of all that, I just wish I could get mine done so I could vote for it!

It'll have ARB'edD60/14bolt with 4.88's, TBI 383, T-700, NP241 with yoke eliminator, Tom Woods 1350 front/ 1410 rear shafts, X-over steering, rear discs, full 6-pt cage mounted to boxed tube frame, inside & underside fully rhinolined, custom hydraulicly operated nerfs, 37" SSR's on 15" wheels, and 6" OffRoad Design spec'd custom leaf springs (HOPEFULLY STEPHEN!!

Wont say mine is the baddest, but if anybody else can go somewhere then I can too. I still only run 35's but they work well. ORD's blazer is the only one that I would even consider trading mine for so I guess that says it all

I thought I was wrong once,
but I was mistaken

Shawn Spickler. The potent rodent is the baddest K5 ever built. I can honestly say I have dreams of owning his K5. No joke! I have woken in the night thinking I need to go polish my potent rodent...wondering why I ever cut the fenders with that bad a$$ paint job...Ahhh...Potent Rodent...spank, spank....Sorry we had a bad ice storm today and I missed work due to my K5's engine rebuild anmd I downed a 40 oz of bud ice ...whew.....anyway Shawn Spickler Rules! His K5 would chew up and spit out any friggen Bronco or cherokee for that matter...Shawn I love oyuolj;kzfd; kj,

My vote, if I absolutely had to vote would go to Potent Rodent. It's one all-around bad machine. But notice I said "all-around". Like Rene said, it's hard to just vote for one rig as each rig is built for specific needs. Like myself, I plan on later swapping in a 700r4, I know it might not be the strongest tranny, but part of my rig's function will include freeway driving. So with that in mind, instead of voting on an "MVP", the question should be, "who belongs on the all-star team"?
Here's another question, has the ultimate K5 even been built yet? A full convertible with a D60, 14bolt rear, GM Ramjet 502 mated to the new Allison five speed and a 205, 38's with 7+ inches of lift sure would be nice.
wink.gif

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

Hey Sam, sounds like a good start on the ultimate K5, why don't we add long travel air ride suspension, full DOM tube skeleton with polymer body panels..........Its already in the "dream garage"

<font color=green> I cant decide between the Potent Rodent, Project UAV, and Depdog....? geez this is tough, all three are awesome as he!! and id give an arm and a leg for any of 'em....this is gonna have to come down to a K5 Challenge...

<font color=orange> if you cant beat 'em, drive over 'em </font color=orange>

I like the idea of a CK5 top K5 challenge. Steve can you set something up? Can you set up another K5 gathering?
My K5 is the baddest, I'll wheel with anyone. Or were you talking about parade queen type baddest K5.
CB

I don't have a gathering planned for this year, but Mudzer is hosting one in Missouri in the spring. It is pretty funny reading all these posts, you know once you put some good tires/lift/lockers etc. a lot of K5' are about the same, after that most improvements are for strength, so a lot of it comes down to how crazy is the driver or how much does the driver care about the body. I know a lot of you guys have gone past the crazy part and are borderline insane.

which is how it should be.
