original k5? ive been a member for a year and read a lot of the threads about everyones mods, and for the most part everyone has something impressive. theres no doubt that a modified k5 is a kick a$$ full size 4x4. my ? is am i the only one thats gonna restore one to as original as i can. around where i live there not many nice k5s, none that have had some $ dumped in them most are saggin wagons like mine <and everyone else w/ rusted body mounts> am i the only crazy one to restore my 88' instead of building it to the hilt? who has the most original k5 on this site? and why?

is he the one with the green 77'? did he rebuild it?

no the lucky bastard just bought it that way. there are some guys on here that have restored some, its just that Craig won't let anyone forget how nice his is.:D

It's a '73.:D I'm a big fan of stock Blazers and it took me ten years to find this truck. I even wanted this color green so I lucked out. This Blazer will stay stock as long as I own it, and I plan to own it until I die. My Blazer is original and non-restored. Just turned 70K last week.

Here's what it looked like when I bought it. The tires were Michelins that were installed in 1975. The guy had ALL the receipts, including gasoline receipts. Sorry for the all the pic-whoring...

Sandracer799 has a super-nice stock '87 Blazer he keeps garaged all the time like I do mine. He posted some pics awhile back. I'll see if I can find them.

Yep. Since that picture was taken I painted those speaker grilles that same saddle color as the side panels. When I got the truck it had old '70s style one-way paper speakers hooked to an 8-track in the center console.

I mounted an mp3 player inside the center console. Hidden of course. Check out my photo gallery for more pictures...

ive had that idea of the cd player in the console before i just couldnt figure out how i would keep it from skipping and keep the original playable too!
you did a good job!!
