Who peels out in their Blazer?

NO WAY MAN! Doing that only proves you have more money than sense.

If you knew the truth, you too would be against marijuana prohibition!

This is probably true, and even though I have a lot of common sense, no-one has ever accused me of "making any sense"

I also love to show people what a properly built rig can do, I don't worry about breaking parts (the only time I do is when I'm pulling). Most of the time I'm still a teenager at heart and probably always will be (ask NoAngel about that, she knows I can't resist smokin my spare set of tires every chance I get, you should see her hold on to the seat...

). It's still "classic Chevy color" (primer grey) and I get guys in poser Fords, Dodges, and even poser Chev's that are "road queens" that look at my truck and say what a POS, except they don't know how "built and not bought" it is. They rev there engines and bark their 33's, I just sit there hit the gas and roast them off the rims (nice having throw away spares). They look and their jaw drops......it's kinda fun. And then there are the honda's.....

But for the average Joe, I would advise against it especially if it's a daily driver. Doing the childist things (like I do) can take it's toll very quickly. I have shafts from High Angle that are new and everything is poly mounts and bushings, and everything is in tip top better than new condition so I have LESS chance of breakage. Someone with an older vehicle (even if well maintained) is just asking for trouble by smoking the tires, powerbraking, etc. If you can afford the repairs and extra tires fine, but if not just ignore the others.

Well In my truck I make woof woof noises every time I go around a tight corner where I have to give it a littl gas. Detroit lockers do that to you. In the Lady's truck we just bark 2nd when where pullin Ricers off the line. Mean shift kit in her truck. Pretty well feels like somebody kicks tha back of the seat if your giving it any gas.
But no I don't power brake any of my cars.

Tell your buddies the only smoke show they'll see is your rig spinning your meats to get traction as you go over top of their huhndas.

A little word of advise..........................
If someone wants you to light up your tires..... Be sure to do it while driving over their car.
That otta impress them.

Well that could be true greenblazer, but I have a discount tire warranty on my tires, so when they get close to bald I will just pop them and get new ones :)

plus check out his pictures of ring and pinon changes, smoke'm; you will need them.

I know for a fact he put on his burn up tires to do those burns.
laugh.gif

He also got stop by the man the other night, after doing a brake stand in his 67'.

I ain't stupid, finally old enough to know better.

I only do burnouts when I'm already through with a set of tires and I'm on my way to the tire store within the next day or two. My GTP will burn them indefinately, but you have to turn the heater off so you don't choke. Probably gets the tranny too hot from all the torque converter slippage (only done it once)

Blazers aren't made to burn out. They just get a lot of traction on dry pavement due to their weight, but a hard, crappy M/T will let go a lot easier than a street friendly A/T. If I gas mine out of a corner, it will scratch when it goes back to first gear. Of course, right now, I can hardly get that stupid tranny out of first gear, thanks for reminding me...

Yea, I ignored them. I did break traction a bit though taking a corner coming home (not in front of them) cuz a car was coming fast right up right behind me so I gave it a bit more gas around the corner and it squeled. Not like peeling out from a dead stop. These things corner pretty damn good, my friend was looking for something to hold onto around corners but just slid in his seat, I only did that a couple of times without gasing it through the corner to get a feel for how it drives.

LMAO! Just don't look at that picture to the left under my title.
Burning rubber is fun. Expensive fun. Who doesn't love the smell of a fatty burnout?
Hell, you only live once. If you got some cheapy tires just to burn, and waiting for an excuse to junk that 12 bolt for a 14 bolt upgrade... why not?
Maybe once i hit 20 and I'm not a "teenager" anymore I'll grow up.

I got pulled over two weeks ago for putting on a smokeshow exhibition in my '67 camaro at the muscle car hangout. There were 30 cars and 100 people, and I had the only Big Block there... didn't see any cops...just had to show em what a BBC can do... Bad idea.
Should've known the cops were on the next street over!
shocked.gif
They were just waiting for some dumbass (me) to do something stupid.
I was honest and polite to the officer and he was very cool... let me off with a warning. That was a big wake up call...
Really the only place that it is safe to "get on it" is off road and at the dragstrip. Just be smart about it. Especially if your exhaust can be heard from 4 blocks away.

Instead of burning up your tires, and rearend gears...
Go get some McDonalds trays... and stick them under the back tires of your friends' front wheel drive cars... Lock the E-brake and you can spin some crazy donuts until the trays burn up 30 seconds later.

When we had our 'vette. People use to ALWAYS try to get me do stupid sh*t like that... I'd ask them if they would give me the $378 PER tire.. then I'd do it.. along with the anti slip rearend. it probably wasnt the best idea in the world. John did screw around ONCE, we went sideways- saw the light etc.. like I said ONCE..

I have noticed the people trying to get you to do stuff like this, normally dont have a pot to p*ss in, and can't seem to comprehend the $$$$$$ invested in these things!!
