Who sells the best remanufactured engine?

Sounds like a mix of good and bad stories from everyone.

I have a GM engine in one vehicle and have put about 20-30k on it so far and no issue's.

Just installed anouther GM in my 72' and it fired right up, havent driven the vehicle yet as i found an oil leak on my oil coller line (my fault) but should get a first drive in today.

it seems that its still a crap shoot. My buddy has a $699 shucks 350 that has 100K on it with no problems, in a 80s half ton burb, followed by a 700r4, 3.42s on 35s. That thing should have died years ago.

You need to listen to these guys here. When I needed a new engine for my Ford, I was going to go with Jasper.
But, my mechanic, who puts in more engines in a week then I will in my life, recommended LKQ.
http://www.lkqpowertrain.com/products.aspx

I asked if they were better than the other big names, and he said that he had had real good luck with their rebuilts, and the one or two times he had problems, there were no questions asked.
He simply called them, they sent in another engine and paid his labor to change it.
He said that when one of the Jasper engines that had problems was a different story. At first they wanted him to take it out and ship it to them for inspection before they would send a replacement.

So, which is better? Darned if I know.
My LKQ is running fine. Don't see how any other brand could do any better, unless it gave me a sex massage while I drove.

Find one that will do that, and I will recommend it wholeheartedly........
LKQ engines come from outside vendors like Jasper, AER, Bishop (the place i work for) and other vendors. they dont do their own reman stuff. Seeing as its a ford you bought for im gonna say its from AER. Back on topic, I think the GM crate motors are the best way to go. If i had the coin to drop on it then i would get a GM one thru my work.
