Who's moved their shackle hangers for stock length springs? I have 6" Tc front springs and looking to fix my shackle angle, so Im going to move my hangers forward like the 52" swap. How much did you move it up? What size shackles are you running?

I've never heard of anyone actually doing it, just talk. Great idea though.

If you do, measure the height from the ground to the center of the rear spring eye and mark a spot on the frame directly above the rear spring eye. Move the upper shackle mount and measure from the new upper shackle mount to the point you initially marked/measured and you should get your new shackle length.

I plan on moving mine but havent done it yet. there was a thread on here a while back about doing it to increase droop.

do you have a link or remember the title name?

Pretty good amounts of droop for 6" lift springs (Skyjacker)
The shocks stopped the axle from going any further than this...

I did it. I used the original lower front hole for the shackle hanger and drilled the other three. I made shackles 1" longer then stock and they are not long enough. it droops much better now but the spring hits the frame under compression. I have 8" lift superlift springs. they get really long when compressed.

this is sitting level with everything in the truck but me and a few tools.

this is flexing on a big rock in the woods behind the garage. an even longer shackle would be better. I don't have any droop pics. but its a lot better. people I wheel with have made comments about the difference in flex.

I might be swapping to 56's soon so all the work to move the hanger and I will have to move it back. :doah:

I did it just shy of a year ago to try and get at least a little flex out of my super stiff Rough Country 6" springs. It did seem to soften up the ride quite a bit and improve flex, but with my springs it's not like I'm going to max out an RTI ramp or anything. I think my shackles are 7" hole to hole (or close to that) and I used the top, front hole as a guide to move everything forward. Here are a few pics:
