i now own an 84 k10 w/ a 400 in it. i only wish it was a one ton. this is one awesome work truck. it hauls all the crap i need it to, has a granny low and enough torque to boot. i probably will keep this truck until it rots to nothing. all new metal this year so it should last a while. i have also rebuilt a 73cj5. i really enjoyed building it and driving it. i had to sell it because i needed a work truck.( married and working on a house) i used to haul a 6*9 coleman camper cut up with the torches to be used as a utility traler, but the wife got sick of looking at it on the side of the house. cjs are great, simple to work on, parts are super easy to find or make and cheap to run and maintain. 95% of jeep offroaders are really cool just as are chevy offroaders. if you build anything, be it ford chevy jeep dodge, you can relate with one another. everyone starts somewhere. its what is available at the time and how much you got to spend. i would love to put a 1 ton setup up on mine and a new crate motor. but the house needs siding and the wife wants a kid. not much of a choice there. bottom line after all this babbling.( its late and ive been digging for pavers for 3 days) dont let the little things bother you. life is too short. i also have a 71 vw in the garage almost done and i own a 64 vespa scooter and my wife drives a honda passport. variety is the spice of life. a month or so ago my truck broke down, and i needed a hand. a great guy in a vw jetta stopped and helped when countless others drove by on a major expressway at 330 pm. where was everyone else? too worried about the little things. goodbye and goodnight!!!
