This is a really great site, so I don't think 25.00 for membership is a big deal at all if you want full privileges. They are simply recouping the money lost from advertising banners.
Facts are facts and with the abundance of sites like this operating free for the members it's not like the site would die without it. It would just be a different format. Alot run less ads and everyone can see them. The sites more than pay for themselves. I've been a member on sites such as thirdgen.org for years and they do it with great success. They are everything this site is, but for third generation Camaros. I urge you guys to check it out if you're interested in a TBI or TPI setup for your Blazer, Jimmy, or Burb. There are some amazing people over there.
That being said, each sitemaster to his own, if you don't like it, don't abide by it. It's more than fair for what it is.
I'm not exactly a newb... been lurking for years... if you wanna post anywhere besides the garage and see pics of some chit that could explain some questions you have, it's pretty simple. 25 bucks isn't a bad deal. Plus you get access to the pen.
Although I will admit that what prompted me to pay up was frustration from not being able to see pics.
