Found this playing around on my local classified site. I don't even know why I torture myself and look just for the hell of it. I would LOVE to have this thing and shorten it and do a cool flatbed tow rig setup. If I wasn't about to build a house with several loans outstanding I would go buy it. It's been one of my trucks I've always wanted to have ever since being an International Tech for 10 years.

Buy it, then sell that bitch ass Cummins
Shit yeah! I could get between 8 and 10k for the Cummins here in Utah. I was just talking to my brother in law who owed it for ten years and I'm going to have to step up to pulling doubles next year when we get more/bigger ATVs for my boys and he said that old ford is gonna be hating that. I'll probably be over 16k easily on what I'd be towing.

So...I have been checking into this a little. It's a 1990, a little older than what I wanted. Ex-military truck that was bought by a municipality in California and painted white(originally it was red). It's got a DTA466 with the inline injection pump. Not sure if it's the Bosch one. It's got almost brand new tires. The salesman was like "I'm not sure why they put new tires on it and then sold it". I'm trying to find out specs but it's old. My Navistar contact is checking into it for me or I will call the knows all parts guy at my old work and see if he can dig out the microfiche. I don't know the horsepower rating yet. Gear ratio is 5:38. Trans is a 5 speed Spicer which isn't great but whatever. He even told me they got a great deal on it so there is wiggle room on the price. @beags86 @78K30

With 5.38’s it doesn’t matter what the horsepower rating is, it’ll move mountains! Hell dads 6.5 even has power and it’s got the DEEP rear gears,m. We routinely haul 70,000 with our semi, 466 with the in-line pump and a 7 speed. Not sure what rear ratio though

Shitty timing with starting to build a house soon but I'm working on the wife to let me go for it if I can and I can write it off on my taxes as a farm purchase(not sure how that works). I've wanted one of these forever and I'll be 36 next week so might as well go for eh?
