why doesnt ORD keep up their website? i have seen the "Coming Soon" stuff listed in Petersons already. thats my only complaint w/ ORD thats wat sells your products and keeps your customers up to date

I agree. I am in the market for lots of some stuff to fix up my 86 Blazer. (I am just getting started, I need way to much to list) If I do not see it on their site, then I assume they don't offer it so I will get it elsewhere.

Just call them its better to get personal with them anyway!! Plus they are great guys to deal with!

I can not see the products over the phone. I want to see what I am buying. I want to see what it looks like, how it works, and all that good stuff. If they cannot spent 5 minutes to udpade their site with lots of pretty pictures, I will take my bussiness to someone who does. It is as simple as that.

tyrantking: The reason we all buy from ORD and other vendors on this site is because they support CK5. All of the vendors are very helpful and are more than willing to answer questions for you. I am sure if you contacted ORD they could send pics to you or ask someone on here for pics of what you are looking for.

Wow the ORD lynch mob....

My point was in response to this statement.

If you dont wanna shop at ORD don't, but don't come on here and bash them because they don't have a lot of "pretty" pictures on their site.

It has been said many, many times that their site is not updated and to get the most accurate pricing call and speak with them.

I personally buy very little from ORD but what I have purchased has been of very high quality and the customer service was excellent.

To the original poster if pretty pictures is what you base your business on go shop over at USA6X6:doah:

I have bought from ORD as well, they are a great company, but I buy what I can see on their site and what I know they have. "Pretty Pictures" is not solely what I base my business on, but all things being equal, I will buy a product I can see over one I have just heard rumors about. For example, I have heard ORD has a coilover conversion kit, yet I see no mention of this on their site. Other sites such as Baulterbuilt and Off Road Ltd. have these kits on their site for all to see. Just like with any major purchase, I want to see exactly what I am getting before I fork over my money. IMHO, not updating their site is bad business practice. To put it another way: Think of a company like Summit or Jegs. What if Summit did not have a printed catalog or a website where you could see what they offer, but Jegs did. What if you had to call Summit and ask them "Do you guys sell this?" everytime you wanted to buy something. Which company do you think would sell more?
I am sorry if have have hurt any ones feelings here. Afterall I am just some 'noob' coming in here and 'bashing' one of your favorite companies. Who the hell do I think I am, right? I am not looking for any flame wars. I am just a guy stating his opinion. If my opinion isn't welcome, I will just lurk and get all the information I can and keep my comments to myself.

There is a bit of a point here. Sponsoring a web based community, and not keeping your web presence up to date would be like a company sponsoring an event for blind people then not making their catalog available in braille.

It's great that they support the site, and they do have great service and products, but it seems they're missing out on a (relatively) low cost advertising presence by not keeping the website up to date. To a lot of people, a poorly designed or out of date site is worse and more frustrating than no site at all.

I like pictures

That's why I went with Diy4x

re

Guess I should throw in my .02 since it applies somewhat.

I was perusing this sub-forum looking for info on some tubular control arm's and whether this company made them or if they could.
Since I'm an accomplished lurker I first started looking at the last 40 or so thread's to get an idea of what they do,product's they carry and so on.
The first thing I looked at was the reply's to product question's,gotta say I didn't get past the first page since a majority either had no response or had only one response that wasn't even from the company(wally seem's to be a great help, but every suggestion is "call them")
I was looking for their website when I found this thread and checked it out hoping for the web address.
(You guy's should post it in this sub-forum,I realize now that it's on the site of course)
I will agree that if I go to their site and the product's i'm looking for aren't there then I'm not gonna waste my time calling them.
I hate wasting my time, and wasting other people's time with my question's. I realize they probably love what they do and will talk with you and be helpful as can be. I try not to be the guy that doesn't know what he's talking about..sorta.
I want know what they have, and i'll call if I have furthur question's. Plus it show's that they are effiecient and on schedule. If they can't keep up their own forum and website,it would tell me either they are stretched to the limit or can't manage their time.
Neither of which would I want to deal with for my own peice of mind.
That sorta scream's to me that maybe they are just looking for the advertisement of the forum.

Sorry if this sound's negative,I was trying to give my unbiased opinion seeing as how it was my first visit to this sub-forum and I haven't been around this forum in quite awhile.
To be honest I will more than likely be contacting this company if the info I need doesn't come up in my searches. I will first be posting any question's on here though,to allow them more conveinence in responding.
