I like the different width. It gives each tire a little different dirt to chew on.
which is why we are all discussing this on a Mazda autocross forum????
just for future reference and my own musing, are you happy with the way the 12.5 fits on the 9 inch wide 17" tall rim?
last week I misread this, and I thought you said 15 inch rim... mine are 15 inch, and there is so much sidewall/aspect ratio to work with that the rims can be a bit narrow, BUT... I would imagine that the larger the wheel/smaller the sidewall... makes the closer the rim width and tire width should be? (that extra inch in width is probably a good thing on the 17s??)
