Also I would really like to get one that will cover the kidos in the back seat, what have you done fore supports?

Here's a pic of the one I had made for my K5. Haven't got around to getting the front attachment rail installed so I can use it though.

Any update on your soft top install and how you made that?

I'm sure I won't get around to starting my softtop install until the kids are back in school - I tend to get to work on the trucks after they are in bed. When you say "and how you made that?" I'm not sure what you are asking about being made.

When I heard STC was going out of business I bought a spare attachment rail from them. Then a couple months ago I bought a complete used STC Fastrac top with all the hardware. If your asking about the bikini top, a few years ago I and another past boardmember got a boat top maker to make bikini tops. That boardmember isn't active here anymore so I got a guy from Wichita, Kansas interested in making them, using mine as a pattern. Unfortunately, no one has ordered any yet. I have a post in the classified section about the bikini top for the first gen.

I'm in the process of cutting up an existing soft top. (oldish torn one)

Keeping the front intact along the windshield, cut it to length so it snaps to the rear top tube of the family cage. (no straps needed hopefully)

Will do the same along the sides. (snap to the rails of the family cage)

Only issue I see will be the front tubing, it sits inboard some and I'm thinking it'll be fine for sun but maybe to skinny when it rains.

This is my bimini top I had the local upholstery shop make for me. If I were to do it again I'd have it snap to the windshield frame to help keep the water from coming down and soaking my legs.:doah: I was running my hard top at the time and didn't want to have to take the fabric off every time I installed the hard top, so I had the fabric snap at the front of the roll bar.

It's pretty simple any decent upholstery shop should be able to make it for you for a reasonable fee.

It might get a little bit trickier if your cage doesn't go all the way back like mine. You could get creative with some conduit or some straps to cover the back seat area.

I have an appointment on Monday 08/06/07 to have the jimmy looked at for both a safari and a full top, I may also do a bikini just over the front seats also.

Should be on for Blazer Bash, gets a little warm and too much sun right now. I am also getting tired of the zip tied poly tarps

Bigblock72,
Can you post more pics of your bikini top. Specifically, the straps at the rear and the way it attaches to the side tubes of the rollcage?

Also, how much did it cost you?

I will be having a full top and a bimini made. Guy said it will be like $120.00 for the bimini and maybe $400.00 for the full. I will post pics when its done. Should be about the 2nd week in September

God you're lucky. My fiance is indifferent to the Blazer and won't ride in it most of the time because of "hair-related" issues...:(
