Will 2wd 1/2ton and 3/4 ton rotors interchange?

I've got an '87 2wd 1/2 ton Suburban and want to swap it to 8 lug. Will the rotors interchange or will I need to swap the spindles too?

To swap to 8 lug your going to need the backing plates, brakes calipers ,the 8 lug rotors and possibly the spindles as well. Not sure on the spindles since my 1/2 set were trashed from a spun bearing so the 3/4 ton set were put on. The brake calipers are bigger as well I believe.

2WD's don't use backing plates/caliper mounts. The caliper mount is integral with the spindle.

they have a dust shield back there kinda like backing plate...'cept nothin bolts to it

So now we know that 3/4 calipers are larger than 1/2 ton. Does anyone really know if they will interchange? Are the spindles the same or need to be changed out?
